In 2020, the feminicide rate in Manaus was approximately 4.4/100,000 women, above the national average (Brazilian Public Security Forum, 2022).
There was a high occurrence of femicide. The registration systems of the health and public safety sector have gaps, especially in the qualification of the crime and its motivations. There is therefore a risk of underestimating the number of occurrences.
